The Grand Tango

ProMusica Minnesota Artistic Director and pianist Bethel Balge returns to Morris with a program of timeless classics plus...a grand tango. Minnesota Orchestra's Principal Clarinetist Gabriel Campos-­Zamora and Associate Principal Cellist Silver Ainomae join forces with Balge to present traditional fare ---trios by Beethoven and Brahms - and a heady cocktail --- Le Grand Tango by Astor Piazzolla. Piazzolla's Grand Tango was written in 1982 for cello and piano, melding tango rhythms with jazz-inspired syncopation. Come and experience chamber music at its best!

The 44th University of Minnesota Morris Jazz Fest features performances by the UMN Morris Jazz band, the UMN Morris Jazz Combos, and the alumni band, as well as world-class guest performers. Jazz Fest is a non-competitive festival open to middle ­and high-school jazz big bands and combos, as well as UMN Morris students. It provides area students with memorable and interactive jazz experiences, through master classes, instrument clinics, and more.

Because finders keepers, losers weepers. And guess what? There's a new boy in kindergarten and he is the handsomest. The only thing is both Grace and Lucille want him to be their boyfriend. Maybe he will love Junie B. when he sees her wonderful pen! It is okay to keep it, right? Junie B. Jones is not a crook ... or is she?
