Classic Tours

The Classic Tour offers a self-guided visit through the mansion, where architecture, art, and personal history come together in one of the most well-preserved historic house museums. Built in 1908, as you move room by room, you will encounter original furnishings, handcrafted details, and works of art that reflect the Congdon family’s values, interests, and daily life. From the iconic Breakfast Room to the home’s beautifully designed living spaces, each area reveals a deeper story of artistry, innovation, and family. Classic Tours include Grounds Admission and a visit of the first floor, second floor, and lower level, featuring many of Glensheen’s signature rooms. This tour is offered year-round.

Please note: The Classic Tour begins when you check in at the Ticket House and does not have an assigned start time during our regular hours of 9 AM to 5 PM.
